Form and Colour of the Palouse 1-1.png

Form and Colour of the Palouse — Washington, USA

from $200.00
Limit 1 per order

Product Description:

There is a moment, standing in the Palouse, when you stop seeing a farm and start seeing a painting. The fields lose their agricultural logic and become something purely visual — curves and colours and the slow rhythm of land shaped by decades of cultivation. Green against brown. Soft against bare. Movement without motion.

This image was made in that moment of seeing. What struck me was not any single element but the totality of it — the way the cultivated green flowed into the exposed earth, the way the gentle undulation of the hills created lines that were at once completely natural and almost geometrically precise. Standing there with the camera, the landscape felt less like something to be documented and more like something to be composed. The Palouse has a way of doing that — of turning the everyday act of farming into something that looks, from the right angle at the right moment, like abstract art.

This is a print for people who look closely. The longer you spend with it, the more the landscape reveals — the texture of the soil, the varying depths of green, the quiet geometry hidden in the curves of the land. It asks nothing of the viewer except attention. And in return it offers something increasingly rare — genuine stillness.
